Situated in the 45-acre grounds of Friars Carse Hotel, our two self-catering cottages are surrounded by open countryside and woodlands.
The cottages are a two minute walk from the hotel itself and all our guests can make full use of the facilities at the hotel. The Whistle Restaurant, which takes its name from a Burns poem, serves excellent local cuisine and has an extensive wine list. We have a comfortable lounge and bar where you can enjoy a "wee dram" and our friendly staff will look after you.
The River Nith runs through the grounds and in season we can offer guests a mile of private fishing for sea trout, salmon and grayling. Fishing is bookable in advance with the hotel. We also have a panelled room with a full size snooker table available for the use of our guests. Shooting and golfing are available nearby and can be arranged in advance through the hotel. The Burns Hermitage and Ellisand Farm are within walking distance.
